Back from Nashville!!

What a day today. First we left before sunrise and headed to Knoxville to get our home study county certified. From there we headed to Nashville. Its a beautiful drive there, but 300 miles each way is a long haul. Other then it being very cold out it was a great travel day.
We got to Nashville about 11:30am and got our fingerprints taken- we were in and out in about 30 minutes, VERY nice staff there. Be aware though, if you have to go to Nashville ASC to get your fingerprints taken, they asked to see an ORIGINAL of the homestudy. I just happened to have one in the car, I don’t know what would have happened if we hadn’t had one. All the documentation and people that have been there before said only a copy was needed. Our 6-8 week wait for the I171H starts today- I think it might take a little longer with the holidays coming up.
After getting fingerprinted, we found our way to the Secretary of State for Tennessee. We went in and got all our paperwork state certified so now we are ready to send everything to Washington DC.
When we were done we went to White Castle for some lushious mini steamed burgers. This is the only place that I know of a White Castle still. On the way to check into our hotel room we decided that we would cancel our reservation and just head home. We are so high maintenance that we decided that there just wasn’t enough to do in Nashville to keep us entertained (just kidding). Actually we just couldn’t think of anything to do so we came home. Long day, but very productive.
One more thing- when we got home and I checked the mail our missing home study was there!!! I was so mad because we change all our plans because it was “lost”. To make it worse, the lady who certified our home study in Knox county today is the same lady who certified the “missing” one two days earlier. I asked her while I was there if it had turned up yet and she said no!?!?
Anyway- moving to the next task.
