Today is 3 weeks since we went to Nashville to get our fingerprints taken. 21 days waiting for the I171. I am hoping that we are almost 1/2 way there but have no way of knowing. I have seen lately people get theirs in 6 weeks, but others take 14+ weeks. The couple who is at 14 weeks called the Memphis USCIS yesterday and they told her that there is only 1 person there doing the I171’s and that she is going to take some extra time off for the holidays.
Is it really possible that there is only 1 person working on these forms (plus 1 person to make phone calls)? This doesn’t seem possible since Memphis is also doing some on New Orleans work too. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how long it takes to get this paper. I talked to somebody there a while back and she told me there were 7 or 8 people there from N.O., but she didn’t say what they were working on.
I surely hope that they have a couple people doing these and that they don’t take any more time off for the holidays (not that they don’t deserve it, we just want our paper!!). I will keep you all updated.
