Senators office called

They just called to let me know that they received our request and needed more information. I asked her how long it takes to hear back usually and she said it could take up to a week. A WEEK!! Just to find out the status of our application. I thought the Senator could maybe get an answer much quicker. My patience is running thin and about to run out now. This is just so frustrating that they leave you in the dark so much on this process- Memphis USCIS just sucks, I am trying to think of ideas that I can do as a private citizen to stir the pot and maybe get some reforms in the USCIS system. There should not be such a difference in processing times between offices, maybe they need to centralize or load balance the job load. I don’t know what tree to bark up or where to start but I would like to do what I can for families that come after us.

Did you speak w/ Charlotte Jackson @ Alexanders office? If so, remind her of all the letters she recieved just about this time last year concerning the same problem. It would be interesting why it takes Memphis so much longer than border states such as CA, TX, FL, NY, etc.. IMHO there IS no excuse.

I will send her a heads up email and let her know the situation. Thanks for the tips.
