Today Starla came home and woke me up. It was about 1:30pm and the mail always seems to come between 11 and 1. There was NO mail in the mailbox, which was odd because we always have a credit card offer or an ad or something. But anyway we got up and watched some tv always just keeping our eye on the road looking for the mailman.
We gave up about 3pm and I decided to go get some hamburgers- when I went to the car I just checked the mail, just because, who knows. There was mail in there, but nothing too important it didn’t look like- then I saw it- “Department of Homeland Security”. I think my heart and breathing stopped until I got in the house and opened it- we honestly did not know if it was an approval or a request for more information.
I opened it and the first thing I saw was “It has been determined that you are able to furnish proper care…” and I thought, this is a good sign. I looked further down and saw it- “Your Application has been approved”
Unfortunatly I have to work tonight and we can’t celebrate just yet. Now for the authentication process and then translation- hopefully we will be DTC 1st or 2nd week of February!!!

I am so happy for you. I stumbled onto your site a while back and have been checking back to see when that darn form would appear for you! Congrats! We have been waiting just one week so far for our “golden ticket” and expect to wait into March. Sure hope the rest of your process speeds along!

Yes!!! Guess you don’t need the day old roses from Food City to send to ‘officer’ Deshawanna. Oh well, perhaps I’ll buy them and toss rose peatals at your homecoming w/ Mikayla!!
