I-171H making its rounds

Our I-171H is in our courier’s hands in Washington, but unfortunatley the other envelope I FedEx’d with the money didn’t work out so well. I gambled and lost this time, trying to save a few dollars. If I can repeat one piece of advice I heard on a messageboard- as adoptive parents we put thousands of dollars into this process, what is an extra $10 to do things right.
Anyway, I called FedEx to get the package redirected another drop location to be held- well FedEx held the package but at the original depot, not the new location. I called the depot where the package was and explained the situation and the manager immediately took the package to drop at our courier house. Unfortunately she had already left for the day, but at least FedEx left the package on her door step. So tomorrow the courier is going to take the 171 in and get everything done- if I would have left everything alone it would have been the same outcome, or if I had sent the package overnight instead of 2 day it would have been done today. Oh well.
By the way, our courier’s name is Carol Fredricks at Dependable Adoption Courier Service. She has been very accomidating and understanding as I really did fubar this situation. I have to commend her. I would recommend her to anyone, her rates are great and she will go above and beyond. There is a link to her website under Links. She is worth the money.

We used Carol, too, and she is WONDERFUL! I really can’t say enough good things about her. Sorry to hear of your FedEx troubles, but Carol will do things right!
