Please Pray

Please take a moment to pray for the 14 year old boy that lives across the street from me. He is genuinely a great kid and we really like him. His heart is always in the right place and is a real joy to have around. Tuesday night this boy tried to commit suicide. He has been in ICU for the last 2 days in an induced coma and on a ventalator. I guess his condition is stable but not very good. This boy and his family are in desperate need of all the prayers they can get. Please pray that he gets well and that he and his family can get the help they need to recover from this. God can work in wonderful ways, please take just a moment to ask him to work with this family.
**UPDATE 1/21/07- The young man is out of his coma and is breathing on his own. This is encouraging, but please keep praying. His motor skills are lacking and he still cannot talk, it is really scary now. He is basically in a vegatative state at this time. I know he has time to heal still but he hasn’t made much progress yet. After 5 days he is still in ICU in critical condition. He still needs prayer.
**UPDATE 1/24/07- Our neighbor has been out of the coma for 6 days now and there are still no improvements. The MRI results have come back inconclusive and the doctor has said that he has brain damage, though they still don’t know how bad it is. In my opinion (I am by no means a medical person) I think it is very discouraging that this long after he is showing little to no improvement. They have started doing physical therapy on him. Please continue to pray for this young man and his family. Thank you so much.
**UPDATE 2/26/07- This is probably going to be my last update on this topic. I want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers for this boy and this family. God has heard your prayers and has answered them, Praise to our gracious and loving Father. This young man is set to go home by the end of the week and is doing so much better. He is talking in sentences, he can throw a ball, he can walk. He still has some recovery to go, but to see him now vs. when this first happened- really I know I have seen God answer prayers.
Thank you, Michael
