One Year Ago Today

Well, here we are- our 1 year anniversary of our paperwork being logged in to China. As most of you know we were never suppose to be waiting still, but since we are this day is bitter sweet. On one hand a whole year of our wait is gone!!!!! On the other hand we thought we would be home with our baby by now and not only are we not home but we don’t know when our referral will come.
This day provides a day of reflection though, to look over the last year of the wait. In general the wait seems to be going by pretty quick. Each day of waiting seems to take forever to get through, but at the end of the week and at the end each month we look back and the time seems to fly. I am looking ahead to my list of things to do, things to make our house ready to be a home to a precious child, and I just know that this summer is going to fly by. I have lots of yard projects, get the house ready projects, and of course the nursery. When I think about how close we really are I get excited but at the same time we are still many months away and it is hard to be excited.
I think we are going to eat Chinese for dinner, that is the extent of the “celebration”.
I just have to keep in mind that God has a plan for our family and that He will make sure that all the pieces fall in the right place.
