Next steps…

We are in a quasi waiting period now. I say quasi because, while we can not do anything to further our travel plans until we get our Travel approval, we have lots to do- refine packing lists, shop to get stuff that is on packing list, meet others on line that is in our travel group, research flights, get new money from bank, and lots of other little things.
We had our travel conference call with our agency last night. The next steps are waiting for TA (travel approval, that is where China gives us official permission to come to China to adopt our baby). That could come anywhere from 1-3 more weeks. Once that comes our agency will make us a Consulate Appointment (that takes 1-3 days from when they receive our TA) and then we can make our travel plans. We could travel as soon as 7-14 days after we find out our Consulate appointment. That is why it is so important to stay busy getting ready during this time, as things can move VERY quickly once our TA comes in. My feeling is we will leave the first or second week of February.
We also may get more updates on our daughter in the next 2 weeks or so. This could be more medical/developmental information, pictures, as well as information on the finding location and circumstances surrounding our daughter.
D&S, I’m getting pretty hungry
