Today we went back to the Changsha Provincial Civil Affairs office and did some more paperwork. After signing a couple document, putting our red thumb print on our signatures and putting Mikayla’s red foot print on a paper she is Officially ours, the adoption process is complete. It was really just a formality as yesterday was the biggest day, but today’s events were pretty exciting too. There is still more paperwork (and the reason we have to stay here and in Guangzhou) that is for passports and visa’s, but as far as the actual adoption it is done. I am sorry to say I did not get any pictures of the red foot print or any of that- I got totally wrapped up in the moment.

I’m off to the place to get our photo’s developed from the cameras we sent to the orphanage. I am hoping for some good stuff, we are also hoping we can get them put on disk so I can share some right away, but if not I will once I scan them at home.

Mikayla is sure a fun baby, she laughs and smiles all the time. She did cry a little bit when the orphanage doctor (a female that she knows well) picked her up and then gave her back but it was nothing a Cheerio couldn’t fix. She eats bananas, congee, ate almost a whole 2 egg omelet.  More later…
